Max-Delbrück-Centrum für Molekulare Medizin (MDC), Berlin DE   |   CV

Prof. Rajewsky works at Max Delbruck Center for Molecular Medicine and Charite (MDC, Berlin, Germany) and since 2008 he’s also Scientific Head of the “Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology”. The Rajewsky lab combines theoretical/computational and experimental methods to understand more about gene regulation in animals. A major focus is on post-transcriptional gene regulation by small RNAs (for example microRNAs) and RNA binding proteins. Recent highlights include the discovery of prevalent forms of regulatory circular RNAs, establishing robust rules for the identification of miRNA-mRNA target interactions and transcriptome-wide identification of RNA binding protein target sites.
